How To Take A Screenshot On Your Realme Phone

Using Buttons: The Classic Method

The most common way to take a screenshot on a realme phone, and most Android phones for that matter, is by using the physical buttons. This method is quick and straightforward, making it ideal for capturing something on the fly.

1. Locate the power button and volume down button on your realme phone. The power button is usually located on the right side of the phone, while the volume down button is typically on the left side.

2. With the screen you want to capture displayed, press and hold both the power button and volume down button simultaneously. You should hear a shutter sound or see a screen flash, indicating that the screenshot has been captured.

3. Your screenshot will be saved to your phone’s gallery, typically in a folder called “Screenshots.” You can access your gallery app to view, edit, or share your screenshot.

Three-Finger Swipe: A Modern Approach

If you find the button method cumbersome, realme phones offer a more modern way to take screenshots using a three-finger swipe gesture. This method is particularly useful for one-handed operation or when you want to avoid pressing multiple buttons.

1. Head over to your realme phone’s Settings app.

2. Navigate to the “Convenience Tools” section. This might be located under different names depending on your realme model and realme UI version. Look for options related to gestures or motions.

3. Within the Convenience Tools menu, find the option for “Gestures & motions.”

4. Locate the toggle for “3-Finger Swipe Down” and enable it. This activates the three-finger swipe gesture for taking screenshots.

5. Once enabled, open the screen you want to capture.

6. Swipe down on your phone’s screen with three fingers simultaneously. Make sure the swipe is smooth and covers a significant portion of the screen.

7. If the gesture is recognized correctly, you should see a brief animation indicating that a screenshot has been captured. Similar to the button method, the screenshot will be saved in your phone’s gallery.

Three-Finger Touch and Hold: For More Control

For those who want more control over their screenshots, realme phones offer a three-finger touch and hold option. This method allows you to capture a specific area of the screen rather than the entire display.

1. Ensure you have enabled the “3-Finger Touch & Hold” option within the Gestures & motions menu in your phone’s settings (refer to the previous section for enabling steps).

2. Navigate to the screen you want to capture a specific portion of.

3. Place three fingers on the screen and hold them there for a moment. You should see a slight animation indicating that a touch is being registered.

4. After a brief hold, the screen will dim slightly, and a selection box will appear. This selection box represents the area that will be captured in the screenshot.

5. You can now drag the corners of the selection box to adjust the capture area. Resize it to capture only the specific content you need.

6. Once you’re happy with the selection, lift your fingers from the screen. The screenshot will be captured and saved to your gallery, containing only the designated area.
